What is Secure Send?

Secure Send is a free service that allows healthcare providers to send invoices, referrals (including radiology and pathology requests) and letters to patients electronically. This eliminates the need for paper-based communication, which can be slow, inefficient, and insecure.

How does secure send work?

Zedmed Secure Send has a secure portal that allows patients and NOK account payers to receive documents electronically. Recipients are sent a link to the documents and a one-time pass code to the portal, which holds their documents for 7 days.

How easy is it to use Zedmed Secure Send?

Zedmed Secure Send is a great way to make it easier to share important documents with patients.

  • For providers: Setting up Secure Send is simple, just submit a request form to Zedmed. Once Secure Send is enabled, providers can send documents to patients by email or SMS. ZedSMS is required for the SMS functionality and will incur normal SMS charges.
  • For patients: Receiving documents through Secure Send is also easy. They will receive an email or SMS message with a link to a secure download page. They will then be sent a security code to enter to access the documents. The documents will be available to download for 7 days.

In addition to the above, Zedmed Secure Send also offers the following benefits:

  • Automatic document expiration: Documents automatically expire after 7 days, which helps to ensure that data is secure.
  • Monitor sent files: You can view Secure Send messages for a specific patient, including the email address or mobile number the document was sent to and the document category.
